Nields Revive Monday Night Live!
Tune in Monday June 17. ten days after our 33rd birthday! 9 Days after Patty's 60th!

Dearest readers,
Did you miss us? We’ve been quiet since the Me & Thee in Marblehead, though the show was one for the history books—we got to see friends from every decade of our long career. For those of you who attended, thank you! We’ll be back!
Meanwhile, our next in-person show is July 5 at Hancock Shaker Village in Pittsfield, MA, where we’ll be inaugurating their twenty-fifth season. And there’s going to be a BBQ!
But that’s a long time from now. So Katryna and I are going to do a Monday Night Live livestream concert from Little Blue Studio on Monday June 17 at 7pm EDT. Join us! It’s free (though tips @thenieldsband Venmo are always acceptable), and we can't wait to see you! You can view the concert on Facebook or Instagram or good old YouTube.
Besides being our beloved Patty’s 60th this past weekend, last Friday was the birthday of The Nields! We are now thirty-three, the age of maturity. Finally. What should we do with our one wild and precious life?
We love you!
XOXO Nerissa and Katryna

The new Iron Horse!!! And I can guarantee that you will too. Why? Because they’ve kept everything that was great about the old and made upgrades that make the place so much nicer. And I haven’t even seen the green room yet.
I had the pleasure and privilege of attending the Bow Wow Bash, a fundraiser for the J. Scott Brandon Scholarship Fund, which supports the musical journeys of students at my kids’ high school (Northampton High School). Two of the six high school bands––Squirrel and River Party––featured four of my former Local Chorus singers. I haven’t gotten to sing with these amazingly talented students since 2020. So the experience of being in my favorite club in the world, sitting up in the loft in the last table available (yes, the one with the giant pole obstructing the view) and seeing my kids all grown up and rocking out and playing guitar better than I ever can dream to…well, there were happy tears. There was much cheering.
OK, AND!!!! There are now real, actual, CLEAN and beautiful bathrooms, with three or four stalls, wheelchair-accessible, on the main floor. There’s a whole extra wing of the club (if you are facing the front door from the sidewalk, it’s to the left) where the bar is. So any bar noise is in a whole separate room. Best of all, the great Neal Robinson, who managed the club for decades, is back in the role of Operations Manager, and will make you feel welcome and right at home.

1. The WNBA. Patty has been taking our kids to see the WNBA since they got out of diapers. Literally. My son William has been working for the CT Sun for the past three seasons. You can catch him wiping sweat off the court on TV whenever ESPN chooses to show the Sun.
So, women's basketball is having a bit of a moment. Caitlin Clark has brought many more viewers to the sport, but I am here to let you know of some other amazing women to check out!
Alyssa Thomas, from the CT SUN. She is amazeballs even though she has two torn labram and cannot shoot in a typical way. This doesn't keep her from scoring, defending, rebounding, making plays. She is SO fun to watch.
A'ja Wilson- Las Vegas Aces
Arike Ogunbowale- Dallas Wings
Dijonai Carrington- CT Sun
Kahleah Copper- Phoenix Mercury
Sabrina Ionescu- NY Liberty- you might have seen her in the 3 pt competition with Steph Curry
Breanna Stewart- Ny Liberty
Cameron Brink- LA Sparks
Napheesa Collier - Minnesota Lynx
Jewell Loyd- Seattle Storm
Rhyne Howard- Atlanta Dream
Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble
I toss the rhubarb and strawberries in a bit of white sugar and cornstartch and let them sit a bit. Then I make the crumble out of 1 part butter ( one stick) to 1.5-2 parts brown sugar and flour. So, if I use a stick of butter, I wil put un about 3/4 cup of brown sugar and 3/4 cup of flour and some salt. Then I bake it in a pyrex dish at about 375 for about 40mins. It is a seasonal treat!
